This painting was a "breakthrough " for me in that it was the first one to really capture the idea of objects in movement. These are some of my favorite tea things and I know they have a life beyond the obvious. In the words of new physics, there is a constantly moving order to reality that is implicit behind the more static explicit order that we can see. Every ordinary object is really quite extraordinary and there is really no such thing as still life!
